McHenry Hohnen Rocky Road Chardonnay 2009

Some wines are a bit tricky and take a while to get your head round. Some have immediate appeal the moment you taste them. This is one of the latter types. Cool and refreshing with white peach, grapefruit, subtle spice and a sheen of almond nougat. It's light and fine boned but not lacking in flavour or impact. Distinguished long spiced grapefruit finish. Not a hair out of place but not short on character either. You stay classy McHenry Hohnen.
